چکیده
Monolithic microwave integrated circuits hold a dominant position in telecom applications, especially mobile devices with capabilities for wireless connectivity, due to high and repeatable performance, compact form factor, low cost. With flexible electronic technologies forming the foundation rapidly growing wearable implantable device segment, need electronics levels of performance that match those rigid counterparts has increased unprecedented levels. Here, fabrication processes transforming foundry-produced, multilayered monolithic circuit into format amplification radio frequency signals gigahertz level are described. The strategy involves complete replacement all materials do not provide any active functionality soft, silicone elastomer yield an overall structure is mechanically compliant. Experimental studies indicate transformation process leads silicon-germanium-based heterojunction bipolar transistor maximum oscillation 49 GHz 24 amplifier small-signal gain 13.2 dB. This approach potential uses across diverse set circuits, manner could enable connectivity using entirely electronics.

متن کاملIntegrated metal magnetic film coupled line circulators for monolithic microwave integrated circuits
A new structure of integrated planar metal magnetic film coupled line (MMFCL) circulators is presented, in which a metal magnetic film is used instead of ferrite materials. Simulation was performed with HFSS based on coupled-mode theory. An insertion loss of 4 dB and isolation of 13.5 dB between S21 and S12 over a frequency band of 3 GHz (from 36.5 to 39.5 GHz) were realised for a three-port MM...

The amplitude and phase control MMICs are based on an optimized SiGe PIN diode fabricated using the IBM 5-HP SiGe foundry process. Utilizing this diode, several control circuits were designed, including a broadband (1-20 GHz) monolithic SPDT switch, a...
متن کاملTHESIS FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY Towards Superconducting Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits
The superconducting Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) is vital in all modern superconducting Rapid Single Flux Quantum (RSFQ) digital systems. Importance of microwave components comes from the fact that superconducting circuits operate with an ultra-wide band signal in the ultra-low dissipation environment. At a typical signal bandwidth of 300 GHz, even a 100μm superconducting wire...
